Rumor has it Bette knows everyone in Ulster County. She broke records as our membership VP because she never hesitates to reach out to people. She picks up the phone and makes you feel welcome.If Bette isn't at a meeting, she's off to some exotic spot around the world. Or maybe in Albany grading Regents Exams. Or having her knees replaced.

ReplyDeleteMay I have the privilege of speaking in front of the Kingston AAUW some time soon? I heard about the Association online while searching out those who fit the "community leadership" "profile." It is my ambition (and my obligation) to start up (to found) a regularly meeting congress of Kingston's citizens, like the storied New England town meetings. For this, I need allies, colleagues! My I briefly sketch my best conception of this and get the AAUW's candid input?
